We (Mank and Markus) are a Balinese-German couple with 3 children (Emma, Alina and Jonas). First we lived in Germany for 8 years, where I (Mank) learned German fluently and completed a three year training in 5 star hotel Hessischer Hof in Frankfurt. After the training, I worked for another 2 years as an employee in this hotel. We have been living in Bali with our children since 2017. In 2020 we completed the Villa MaLiNa to enable families with children or guests interested in culture to have a special holiday. My husband is a computer scientist but has also study intensively with Balinese Hinduism and wrote down his experiences in the book The Gods of Bali (ISBN-13: 979-8844520389), which provides a comprehensible insight into Balinese Hinduism:
